El Nido- Tour A

I booked Northern Hope Tours for our island hopping. I got Tour A for only P600 since it was an off peak season (September) & we were 6 in the group. It includes lunch, snorkeling gear, life vest & guide. You also have to pay P200 for the environmental fee but we were not charged by Northern Hope. I read online that if you were to choose between tours a,b,c & d, the top choices would be Tour A & Tour C.

The places to visit in TOUR A are Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon, Simizu Island, Secret Lagoon & 7 Commandos Beach. We were not able to go to secret lagoon because it was not safe that time. It was raining from time to time. SAFETY FIRST!

BIG LAGOON

SMALL LAGOON- we were informed by the guide that there are lots or territorial fish here. They were really protective of their home. Almost all of us got bitten by a territorial fish. When you see them underwater, they look like snakes trying to strike on you. I was very careful not to get near them but the onetime I tried to check on how deep the water was, I got bitten! Ouch! Going back to the boat, I was really tired coz I made sure not to let my legs touch the sand so I kept on swimming and swimming.

SIMIZU ISLAND- lunchtime! The boatmen cooked our lunch here. Yummy food & very nice presentation too. We went snorkeling & had so much fun

7 COMMANDOS BEACH- you can just relax and enjoy the beautiful beach.

  • Don't forget to bring an underwater cam, bottled water & snacks during the island hopping tour. It is better if you have bread or biscuit for fish feeding.

El Nido, Palawan -Marina Garden Beach Resort

El Nido is a 6 hour drive from Puerto Princesa. We rented out a van from our family friend & drove it to El Nido. The last hour of the trip will be on a rough road but once you see Bacuit Bay, everything will be worth it. It's PARADISE!

Contrary to what others believe, going to El Nido is not that expensive. We booked our flights from cebu pacificair. They had an ongoing piso sale. Our roundtrip tickets costs P1400 only. There are several bus lines (aircon & nonaircon)  and aircon vans going to Elnido.

We booked Marina Garden Beach Resort & got 2 deluxe Country Villa rooms (3pax/room) with free breakfast for 2940/room. The room is equipped with cableTV, hot/cold shower, Aircon, 1 single bed & 1 double bed. They overbooked that time. They texted me around 10am informing me that our room is not yet available & if it's possible that we will be transferred to another inn (non-beachfront). Of course I said no. We booked them in advance to make sure that we get the rooms that we wanted & because they are a beachfront inn. I was promised that they will work it out. We arrived around 6pm & was welcomed by heavy rain. Unluckily, our rooms were not yet ready. Another group still occupied our rooms. We were given a temporary room while waiting. After 2 hours, we transferred to our rooms. When we had some chat with the guests from Sweden who arrived after us, we learned that they lost 1 room too. You should make sure that this doesn't happen when you book them. Other than that, I would recommend this place.

Non-beachfront accomodations are much cheaper. you can get one for P600 a night.

MAKEUP REVIEW: Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick & Lip swatches

Upon reading some blogs & watching vlogs about the Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick, I really wanted to try it out. In the Philippines, Wet n Wild products are kinda expensive. This Megalast lipstick costs P299 in the malls whereas if you purchase them in the US, it would cost only $2 or less. Your other option is by ordering them thru online shops. I got mine from The Primp Pad for only P148 each.

Megalast lipstick has a semi-matte cream finish and lasts for 4 hours or more. If you have dry lips, it's better if you apply a lip balm/moisturizer before applying the lipstick. It is highly pigmented too. I really love this product & it is really cheap. Only downside for me is the packaging. You should be really careful when you put the cap back on. The lipstick bullet doesn't go all the way down.

Just Peachy

Bare It All

My bare lips

Just Peachy- as the name implies it has a nude, peachy tone with a little hint of pink.

Bare It All- more creamy than Just Peachy, this is the perfect nude tone for me.

Kawayan Cove, Nasugbu Batangas

Kawayan Cove is a private residential seaside community. You should know someone who could endorse you. There is a fee of P250 for the use of the pool and the beach. Luckily, there was an on going promo that if you come with the member, it will be free of charge. You are not allowed to bring food or drinks on the beach and the pool area. There is a clubhouse in case you go hungry or thirsty. You are not allowed to park your car anywhere too. You can leave it in the Mango Grove parking or in the house of your "member friend" then you can wait for a shuttle/golf cart that will bring you to where you wanna go.

We had breakfast at the Mango Grove first & let my nephew play.

The shore was clean and the sand was fine. Not as powdery fine as boracay, but good enough. It was kinda windy in the cove and the seawater was cold.

We loved the infinity pool more than the beach. The water is warm and really inviting.

The shower rooms are very clean & well maintained.
